Coucou, a brand created to provide pets and small animals around the world with better source of nutrition and balanced diet.

The first Balance series is created to provide both kittens and adult cats with complete and balanced nutrition for body growth, healthy metabolism and carnivorous nature. Now the low carbohydrates-and-fillers product is being widely recognized for its superior quality and nutrition.

Wet pet food

Wet pet food brings its own challenges in terms of formulating a food that is healthy and tasty, while retaining the optimal physical properties of the food. Jellification, binding of water and fats in combination with nutritional benefits, and improving shelf life, are examples of processing factors in which balancing formulation is particularly important for a successful product.

With our vast knowledge, we have several solutions that can help in various circumstances, and we can tailor ingredient solutions to our customer’s needs. We are very well aligned with trends in human nutrition, which also drives many trends in pet food, and we are at the forefront of this market with our conceptual offerings based on novel and sustainable ingredients.

Ingredients

We offer several nutritional and functional ingredients from our portfolio that provide solutions for creating tasty pet food with functional properties that improve its processing.

From emulsifiers, such as lecithin, via functional starches and hydrocolloids to fibers. With our in-house produced antioxidants, whether synthetic or natural, we have a very broad offering next to our portfolio of nutritional ingredients.

Dry pet food

We use our extensive pet nutrition feed knowledge to help our pet food customers formulate a healthy pellet. We supply our customers with the highest quality ingredients from renowned suppliers, but can also deliver commodities that we import ourselves.

Alongside our nutritional offerings, we also have several solutions that aid food processing by reducing dust or ensuring that the final pellet has a shiny coating with a good palatability. And finally, we align with current trends and offer ready-made concepts based on innovative and sustainable ingredients.

Ingredients

Our range of nutritional ingredients is well-established and we provide a one-stop-shop to help reduce procurement efforts. We supply a range of proteins, from vegetable to insects.

We also have a selection of carbohydrates, such as functional starches or fibers, offer palatability enhancers in the form of sweeteners or yeasts, and are active with ingredients that improve the immune system and offer improved animal wellbeing via natural ingredients, such as seaweed.

Treats & supplements

Our wide portfolio of ingredients is very well suited in helping formulate tasty snacks. A successful treat is not rich in nutrients to avoid overfeeding and obesity in pets, but at the same time, is really tasty and a real treat for the companion animal. We have palatability enhancers, consistency drivers and mouth-feel enhancing ingredients that we bring from our food solutions to pet food as well.

In addition, we offer ingredients and concepts that can deeply focus on selected elements of the pets’ diet and can be used in supplements. Our expertise in nutraceuticals sets us apart and we are very well positioned to help formulate supplementary pet food solutions.

Our functional starches provide a nice look and feel, to the consumer, as well as to the animals in terms of visual appearance and mouthfeel. Sweeteners and aroma complement this to ensure the snack is a real treat to pets.

With our range of novel ingredients, such as seaweed, pondweed (water lentils), and insect proteins and oils, we offer unique solutions that support animal wellbeing and assist in nutritional focus for supplementary pet food products.

Global Presence

We operate with local warehouses in every country, local sales staff, regional hubs, our application laboratories and customized formulation centers.

We have the physical resources to successfully distribute the products of our suppliers and to meet the demands of our thousands of customers. Through our network, a supplier from one country can reach out to many countries – and our more than 20,000 customers have access to the portfolio of our principals at all their production sites.
